Seriously, I think I've given up on food for now. I haven't made a meal plan in two weeks and I'm just kind of flying by the seat of my pants. This means that last night we had Quiche because I was out shopping (fabric and shoes:) and it was still frozen when the family wanted to eat. Oops. We had chicken soup two days in a row because it was easy. I think my family is getting the necessary nutrition but maybe not. I know we aren't getting all the food groups according to the pyramid.
M-Quiche with grilled cheese and carrot and celery sticks
T-Spaghetti with rosemary bread
W-Rice with something!
That's as far as I seem to be able to get. Anyone else feeling the same way? Maybe it's the longing for fresh produce that isn't trucked in from far away. I'm in a starchy rut. Sigh.

Have you been reading "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" by Barbara Kingsolver by any chance?
What makes you ask?! yes, started but had to return it before I finished. I'll have to get it out again to finish it. Very enlightening. It makes me want a farm!! Or atleast a really large garden and my fruit trees.
